Surface Fields
It is subject to the actual value in test. If the tester uses different Gauss meters to measure the same permanent magnet, the test value is different and the difference can be 200~300GS. For example, the Gauss value tested by our domestic equipment is about 1200 GS, while tested by Japanese Gauss meter the value can over 1300GS.
Magnetizing Waveform
For bonded ring NdFeB magnets used in motors, surface field is just one factor, and the most important factor is the magnetizing waveform. Some are very standard square waves, if the surface fields can not reach a value simply by upgrading the grade, a new fixture need to be made to improve the surface gauss value. It will take 7 working days to develop a new fixture. It will take about 12-15days to provide samples after finishing new tool. Our technicians suggest test the performance of the motor after equipping with magnets.
